Terms are full payment in advance of shipping


As a consumer you are protected by Australian Consumer Law which states that we are not required to provide a refund or replacement item if you change your mind after you make a purchase.

Our policy is:

  • We do not provide refunds or returns for a change of mind;
  • We do not provide refunds for items on sale or purchased using financial terms;
  • We do not refund shipping or delivery fees;
  • We do not guarantee all ebikes and etrikes for use other than recreational use within what is accepted as being reasonable to the lay person;
  • We do not refund labour costs associated with servicing, repairs or warranty claims.

Please note, you as the consumer have a duty of disclosure as to the use of the proposed ebike or etrike. We sell for recreational use only and our products each have guidelines for the upper limit of the load they can carry. This is the weight of the rider combined with the weight of any luggage or carriage items, regardless of their positon on the bike. As your load approaches the maximum weight limit, it is expected that performance of the ebike or etrike will decline, as the load will impact the performance of the battery and motor. A light rider can, for instance, expect to achieve a higher distance per charge over the same route than a heavier rider. Please review the recommended achievable distance per charge as an AVERAGE both in terms of rider, load, terrain and rider style. All figures are indicative only and do not represent individual performance which can only be estimated once full disclosure of use is provided (and potentially a test ride has been completed).

Eligibility for a refund

Refunds or exchanges on electric bikes, trikes or scooters may be available by mutual agreement with Blind Freddy Electric Bikes if agreed within 48 hours of placing a deposit securing a purchase or making the purchase if purchased outright.

To be eligible for a refund, the item must be returned unused and in the exact same condition that you received it.

If you have paid a deposit and you change your mind before you have paid in full, to be eligible for a refund the bike must be in original condition. If you requested that customisation or addition of accessories be added to the item prior to collection and this has been actioned, the item is no longer considered to be in original condition and the deposit can no longer be refunded.

Forfeiture of deposit

If you have paid a deposit and are unable to proceed with the final payment at the agreed collection date, you will forfeit the deposit. We are happy to discuss options if you still wish to proceed and there are extenuating circumstances which cause a delay in final settlement.

Returns - subject to mutual agreement

To complete your return, we require a receipt of proof of purchase and identification confirming you are the original owner of the item being returned.

If we agree to a return, you may only receive a partial refund if:

  • Any item returned shows signs of use or is not in its original condition suitable for resale;
  • Any item is returned after the stated 48 hours after delivery;
  • We have incurred costs such as shipping costs, labour and outgoings to fit accessories, assemble and test items and perform tuning and quality checking of the goods prior to supply
  • We have stored the bike for longer than two weeks after we have confirmed the item is ready for collection. Storage costs of $10/day may be payable.

Exchanges may be available for items of the same or greater value. Exchanges on items of lesser value are not available.

Refunds (if applicable)

Once your return is received and inspected, we will confirm in writing via email that we have received the returned item. We will also notify you at that time if the item is accepted for a refund, partial refund and the reason for the difference or rejection of the application for a refund together with the reason for this. If the refund is approved, your reefund will be processed and a credit will be applied based on the original method of payment within 5 business days.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)

If your refund has been approved but payment has not yet been received, please check the number of business days since notification of the decision. If this is after 5 business days, please contact us to highlight your concern.

Replacements (if applicable)

We only replace items if the item has a major defect. if the item does not have a major defect, we will opt to repair the item within a reasonable time. Repairs need to be returned to our Brendale store (Unit 4, 302 South Pine Road, Brendale QLD 4500) for all repairs, at your cost. Blind Freddy Electric Bikes is unable to cover the cost of shipping of items for repair.


You are responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. If you are shipping items with a value over $50, please use a tracking service to track the progress of your return. You may wish to take out insurance on the item while it is in transit. Damage incurred during transit is not the responsibility of Blind Freddy Electric Bikes and we recommend you take out insurance to cover any reasonable risk. We can not guarantee that we will receive your return.

Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of shipping will be deducted from the refund amount.

Please ensure it is in original packaging and original condition, you include a copy of the original receipt and proof of purchase We may request a copy of your ID to be separately transmitted to us.


We offer a 2 year warranty on BFeBikes products, details of which are contained in this warranty document. Please note that warranty does not include cost of shipping or labour to repair warrantable items. 

Brands which we sell which are not imported by Blind Freddy Electric Bikes are subject to the warranty terms of the distributor of that brand. Copies of their warranty statements are available on their website. Blind Freddy Electric Bikes does not underwrite their warranty but acts as an intermediary in the communication of warranty claims. Please make a copy of the warranty terms at the time of purchase. Please contact us first to discuss your claims.
