Lightning ebike has been designed specifically for riders with achondoplasia, skeletal dysplasia and forms of dwarfism.

It has the following features to help safe transfers and management of fatigue:

• electric bike designed for short statured riders, skeletal dysplasia
• super-low step-through (20cm) to enable feet on ground when transferring
• super-low saddle height with option for low profile saddle (seat to ground 46cm)
• adjustable handlebar to accommodate a range of upper limb lengths (variable 31cm to 50cm)
• shortened cranks to accommodate a range of lower limb lengths (seat to pedal 42cm)
• powerful rear hub 250W motor with adaptable power levels and maximum speed options
• Bengal hydraulic disc brakes for sensitive and responsive braking for smaller hands
• rear battery mounted in rack to enable carriage of bags
• Lightweight frame and compact design, making it easier to transport.

Fitted with 16" wheels and tyres suited to a range of surfaces. Only 14kg with battery and seat/seatpost installed.

Options

• Option for quick release stabilisers to provide balance support but ease of transport by removal for putting in car or storing and can be removed if skills improve in future (additional cost)
• Low speed motor option
• Reduced maximum speed (10/12/15/25km)
• Optional - Easy-start with maximum speed 10km/hr similar to power wheelchair
• Remote disable switch option for attendants
